Arlissa E. Minniefield was born in Baltimore, Maryland but raised in Jacksonville, Florida. She graduated from William M. Raines High School as Salutatorian then attended Florida A&M University on a full academic scholarship. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering, she started working for Sony Magnetic Products of America in Dothan, Alabama as a Chemical Process Engineer. A chance meeting at a Dothan hospital changed the course of her life when she met and later married Eric Minniefield, a US Navy Veteran.

After several years of being a “stay-at-home mom”, Arlissa changed career paths and started working in municipal government; first as a Municipal Court Magistrate in the Town of Midland City, Alabama and later as the Municipal Clerk and Treasurer of the Town of Newton, Alabama. She is the first African-American person to serve in this capacity for the Town of Newton.

Arlissa began working at Dothan Real Estate Team in 2020 to utilize her skills, talents and abilities in the private sector. She obtained her real estate license in 2021 and joined Keller Williams Realty-Southeast Alabama, where she currently serves as an Associate Broker.

In between being actively involved in ministry with her AMAZING husband of over 20 years and raising 4 children and 3 grandchildren, she manages to participate in numerous clubs and organizations in the Wiregrass Area.

Arlissa is passionate about educating people about the home purchasing process and using real estate to build wealth!
